We are currently looking for a Tactical Buyer within Medeco BV. Medeco BV is the private-label team that supports all global Mediq business units across 8 product categories, and we are responsible for managing the Mediq Own Brands assortment. The team is based in Oud-Beijerland, the Netherlands. Working locations are in Oud-Beijerland and De Meern (Utrecht).

Qualifications, experience and skills
The successful candidate has experience in sourcing overseas and has a good understanding of international supply chains. You have a good understanding of the dynamics in a large organization and are flexible enough to deal with this without losing an eye on the result.
Commercial acumen and in depth analyzing are essential skills for this role. As well as having both these attributes, you will have strong attention to detail, and you are an effective project manager. At least 2 years proven experience within direct procurement and production. Fluency in English is also required.
You will be an excellent communicator able to work extensively with counterparts. You will be comfortable working at pace, in a highly complex environment and dealing with ambiguity. You will be a self starter who that likes working in a small team.
Where are you heading?
As Tactical Buyer your main role is to support the Head of global sourcing in managing the supplies of direct spend for our medical device brands Curion, Klinion, Absorin and Ceneman. Therefor you are responsible for supporting processes, analyzes and reports on all requests for goods and services submitted. You are responsible to achieve best value for goods and services purchased. In order to achieve this your main tasks will be:
• Producing and analyzing price-lists and management information on activities within the purchase-to-pay processes to monitor and manage the frequency, value and volume of spend over monthly periods.
• Secures saving opportunities and negotiate supplier agreements to obtain best price and value for Mediq.
• Coordinate quarterly supplier performance reviews for suppliers, compiling data and information on performance. Attend the reviews/ audits and manage all actions relating to day to day performance.
• Disciplined archiving and maintenance of procurement documentation and processes.
• Drive periodic supplier review and corrective actions of suppliers to improve supplier reliability
• Deliver support in big Sourcing projects and contract renewals (tenders)
Internally the Tactical Buyer will work in close cooperation with the Global Product Managers, Operational purchasers, Customer Support and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs team.

Being capable of negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value and develop continuous improvement partnerships to ensure trading in the most ethical way. Identifying potential suppliers and developing contingency plans. Furthermore, developing market knowledge, evaluating proposals and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors. Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives by checking costs, quality and levels of service.
